Question
Can someone give me the solution with all workings please,
Thank you
From the ideal gas equation, we know that, for an ideal gas PV = nRT, where, just as in the first question, P is the pressure of the gas, V is the volume, R is the gas constant, T is the temperature, and n is the number of moles. Suppose that you took 1.01 moles of a perfect gas, at 300.0 K, in a volume of 3.1400 L. What is the pressure of the gas? What is the relative error in the value for the pressure? What is the absolute error in the value for the pressure?Explanation / Answer
Gas equation is given by PV = nRT
No. of moles of a perfect gas = 1.01 moles
Temperature=300K
Volume = 3.1400 L
Universal Gas constant R = 0.082057338 L atm K1 mol1
From gas equation P=NRT/V
= 1.01 x 0.082057338 x 300/3.1400 = 96.50 atm
