Explanation / Answer

i3 = i1 + i2 ------(1)

applying KVL in loop 1 we have

4.27i1 + 4.27i3 - 11 = 0 ----(2)

applying KVL in loop 2 we have

-4.72i2 - 4.27i3 + 5 = 0 ----(3)

adding (2) and (3) we have

4.27i1 - 4.72 i2 = 6

i1 - i2 = 1.27

1.17 - i2 = i3

1.17 - i2 = 1.27 + i2 + i2

i2 = -0.033

i1 = 1.27 - 0.033 = 1.237 A

i3 = i1 + i1 = 1.237 - 0.033 = 1.204 A
