For lower values of XL. It basically acts like a short circuit. Since reistor and does not have VAR. So the net system var will be zero. ie the var absorbed will be equal to var delivered. So the VAR deleivered to load must be delived through inductor. Therefore absorbed VAR by system = delivered VAR by system = 8k VAR
PART D
We know that inductor for max value will absorb 1.24 x 104 VAR and deliver 4400 VAR. Thia VAR is transfered to load where it absorbed 4400 VAR and delivers (8 x 103 VAR +4400 VAR = 12400 VAR). So the system absorb 1.24 x 104 VAR and deliveres 1.24 x 104 VAR.
