These data files may come from a data logger, the internet, or even an unknown source. One good source of weather data is wunderground.com, which has recorded weather history from every National Weather Service (NWS) site and many personal weather stations (PWS), going back decades. In this assignment, you will process a month of daily recorded weather data from the PAFANWS site in Fairbanks. Instructions In this assignment, you will create a Matlab script called hw13. m, which reads in a text file of weather information, parses it, and writes formatted summary information to the screen. The text file is called MonthlyHistory.htm. The first line is meta-data describing the data fields. You can open the file using fopen, close it with fclose and read one line at a time with fgets. Use the Matlab documentation to learn how to use these functions. Your script will determine several things and output something like the following. Maximum temperature is 50 F on day 11 Average daily temperature: 32.00 F Precipitation occurred on 13 days The underlined values will be different in your program, but everything else will be the same. Note: make sure fclose is run every time fopen occurs; otherwise new files will continually be opened. This "problem" often occurs if your program crashes somewhere between fopen and fclose.
