Question

This is 6/6 questions for an important project. All help is appreciated, Assume all diode drops are 0.7 V. Feedback will be given, thanks!

6) For the following circuit answer the questions below ANSWER BOX: Given Vin(-) 1V, Vin 2.5V A) Vo R3 1000, Vcc 5V B) Power dissipated by R3 +Vcc C) Build this circuit in Multisim and create a reference voltage Vin(-) Vo potentiometer and one or more fixed resistors so that the Vin(+) R3 voltage can be adjusted at Vin(+) from exactly 0.5 Volt at 0% to exactly 3 volts at 100%. Use +Vcc as the voltage that is -Vcc connected to the voltage dividers for both Vin(+) and Vin(-). Show screen shots with a probe on Vin(-), Vin(+), and Vo for the cases when the potentiometer is at 0% and 100%. Use the 5 terminal virtual OpAmp and to avoid the output being reduced and not matching your calculations double click on the OpAmp and increase the short circuit to 25A and the output resistance to 0.001 Q.

Explanation / Answer

A) Vo=Vsat

  =+Vcc

   =5V

B) Power dissipated by R3=Vo2/R3

=52/100

=0.25W
