Here is a mini project you need to do select a stepper motor that when programmed with arduino you will be able to control the angle of rotation of about 30 to 45 degrees.. The following are the hints... Explain all steps

1. The important parameters to be considered while selecting a stepper motor are the following :

a. Step angle

This is the angle with which the stepper motor rotates after a pulse supplied. The pulse sequence for the motor can be found once connected to the pulse generator via trial and error. This angle determines the precision of your application. Generally, stepper motors are available with step angles in the range 1.8 - 20 degrees.

b. Holding torque

This is the torque that the stepper motor can hold when excited. This will be as per the calculations from the application.

c. Slew rate:

This parameter determines the maximum frequency/speed of operation of the motor without loosing pulses.

d. Availability

As you need to source it.

2. Motor driver

There are a bunch of motor drivers available which can be used with Arduino Uno. The list includes ULN2008 series, L293D, DRV88xx series etc. The selection should be dependent on the current rating of the motor chosen.
