1.Lactate level is high either of the deficiency during intense excerise.

2. If glycerol is administered if patient has deficiency of PFK1 leads to decrease in lactate concentration. Because glycerol converted to dihydroxyacetone phosphate to glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate. Due to deficiency of PFK1, glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate favours the gluconogenesis and leads to formation of glucose. So, in PFK1 deficiency glycerol converted to glucose.

If presence of PFK1, favour the glycolysis so glycerol makes a glycolytic pathway and form lactate. And further lactate dehydrogenase makes accumulation of lactate in the cell.
