Which wave is the electric field and which one is the magnetic field? Explain in detail.

I know the red wave is the electric field and the blue wave is the magnetic field but i need an explination of why.

so electromagnetic waves follow a right hand rule. E into B gives you the direction of v

so start your fingers in the red and move them into the blue and notice your thumb points in v so that assingment is correct
