Ans) Red onion skin when kept in contact of sugar water or salt water will shrink due to the process of plasmolysis since the concentration of water outside the cell will be lesser and water will tend to flow outside the cells and thus cells appear to shrink and rek ink would be seen in the center of the cell .When kept in water ,the cells grow to there normal size .so this process is reversible.
