a)distance between the charges is doubled = that means the force exerted by one charge on the other becomes (1/4)th


b)the distance between the charges is halved= that means the force exerted by one charge on the other becomes 4 times


c) initially two like charges were placed so there will be force of repulsion between them. BUt when one of the charges is replaced by a charge of the same magnitude but opposite sign, the there will be force of attraction betwwen them. that means the direction of initial force is reversed
