Question

Need basically a flow chart for these problems. Knowing how that molecule is going to travel in the circulation via blood flow from Point A to Point B. What arteries, veins, capillaries will it pass through? For the first question, this was a bit confusing from the start since what artery will it first go to from anterior pituitary to reach right Tibia? I was looking at cerebral Arteries/Willis circle but was unsure.

BONUS PROJECT: Circulation Pathways Procedures a. Work in groups of 2-4 students (Put ALL your names on the paper you hand in!) b. For cach of the problems below, make a list of all the blood vessels and heart chambers, in correct order (to the detail you have on your list from lab), that carry the molecule from Point A to Point B. c. The list always will start with the capillaries at Point A and end with the capillaries at Point B. d. Include all relevant arteries and veins that are on the list of vessels to know for today's lab. For some problems you also will need to include some vessels in the abdomen that are not on the list for today's lab -simply look ahead or ask if you have trouble. e. Include the pulmonary circulation or coronary circulation when appropriate. f Use models of the circulatory system and pictures in your textbook and lab manual to help you. g. Turn in your lists to your TA. Include names of all students in your group. Group members must be present for the entire exercise in order to have their names included. This assignment is worth five (5) BONUS for each of the 5 scenarios below up to 25 total points toward your lab grade. Problems: 1. Molecule: Growth hormone Point A: Anterior lobe of the pituitary gland Point B: Right Tibia 2. Molecule: Epinephrine Point A: Adrenal medulla Point B: SA node 3. Molecule: Oxygen Point A: Left Lung Point B: Right Biceps brachii Molecule: Carbon dioxide Point A: Left Gastrocnemius Point B: Right Lung 4. 5. Molecule: Glucose Point A: Liver Point B: Left Deltoid
