1. READ. Answers that do not relate to the following questions will recieve a one star, and a very 'nice' comment! Copying and pasting answers will be reported. I am tired of having useless people waste my points because their too point-hungry to even take into account the question. Just because the question has the word "light" in it, does not eman any answer with the word "light" in it will suffice.

the idea of this technology is an intereference of a laser beam on a slits that are on CD.

impact of this technology on a socity is a dissapearence of tapes :) and further developments to DVD, bkue ray and other compact storage devices.
