Question

____ is not part of photosynthesis. A. Storing the sun's energy B. Converting carbohydrates into usable energy C. Splitting water molecules D. Using CO2 from the atmosphere and hydrogen fromwater to make carbohydrates. I just need clarification. At first I was thinking that theanswer was B because it converts the sun's energy into things suchas carbohydrates; not the other way around. Then as I looked at thequestion I was confused about the word "storing" in choice A. Doesit actually involve storing the sun's energy or does it just absorbor capture the sun's energy & then convert it without anystorage involved? ____ is not part of photosynthesis. A. Explanation / Answer

It should be B. After conversion it should be stored. I don't think carbohydrate are broken down for energy. The stuff needed for photosynthesis are light, water, and carbon dioxide.
