Answer :- Besides isatis root and yarrow, other medicinal plants are white willow(salix alba), Meadow sweet, Indian pipe.these plants are effectiev against alleviating fever.

Few clinical trials were made on salix alba ,or white willow ,  willow bark extracts are standardized to salicin, other ingredients in the extracts like other salicylates, polyphenols, and flavonoids .It plays an important role in treatment.

Black cohose is also used for clinical trial, a clinical trail of 286 people with acute pharyngitis were exposed to mace spray and also to placebo spray , but it is found that Black cohose is more effective than the placebo.

Q2) Besides mint tea other botanicals used to treat pharyngitis are - Marshmellows, Linden,Echinacea etc.

Marshmellow Medication is similar to mint , in marshmellow it is rich in mucilage ,and helps in smoothing the respiratory tract.
