Answer:- The most likely genetic change would be that the genes for eye in primordial wing tissue are normally in repressed state that is transcriptionally inactive but in mutat strain the transcriptional factor whose gene is normally inactive in primordial wing tissue but due to its activation as result of which it transcribes transcription factor required expression of protein required for eye formation. Transcriptional factor is activated when its free from repressor protein or histone modification , mutation etc.
