Explanation / Answer

A and B you have done correctly.

C. In general there are three regions in a gene. 1. Promoter region, 2. Transcribed region and 3. Terminator region. The promoter region is present at the starting of a gene that is at the starting of 5' end. Thus, the initial 5' portion (initial left) of DNA is promoter region.

D. Start codon is present at the starting of transcribed region just after promoter region. Terminating codon (stop codon) is present at the end of transcribed region just before termination region.

E. RNA polymerase binds to the promoter sequence of DNA to begin initiation step of transcription.

F. To begin translation process, Ribosome bind to the ribosomal binding site on mRNA. Ribosomal binding site is a sequence of nucleotides upstream of the start codon of an mRNA transcript that is responsible for the recruitment of a ribosome during the initiation of translation.

G. You have done correctly.
