Question
The question is written exactly like this;
Estimate the number of atoms/cm^2 in an aluminum foil that is 1mm thick.
I can look up the density of aluminum getting me 2.70g/cm^3 but im having problems setting this one up properly. I don't have a mass or volume to use D=M/V. Without being given the length and hieght Im not sure how to get volume.
Do I use the periodic table for Al giving me 26.98g/mol and then use avagadro's number to get to atoms? Im just lost at how to do this cause each path I try I can't get to the final answer.
Help pleae.
Explanation / Answer
hey man read question dear it gives all thing.... its given that find no of atoms per cm^2 i.e. area = 1cm^2...
here use volume = area * thicness ==>> Area = 1cm^2 and thicness = 1mm = 0.1 cm
so volume = 0.1 cm^3...
now i thin u solve It.....
pls read and if hve further doubts ythen comment below ur doubts....
