Question
A 230kg crate hangs from the end of a rope of length L =12.0M. You push horizontally on the crate with force F and the rope swings reaching maximum angle of thata=19.5. from the vertical. Find:-a) The work done by the gravitational force for this displacement.
b) The net work done on the crate to move it from its inital position maximum angular displacement.

Explanation / Answer
let it swing by angle theta wtht the vertical
at the highest point the speed is zero
so work done by gravity = mgl(1 - cos theta) = -1551.43 J (negative)
work done by F = F sin theta = 1551.43 J
both are equal ( we can equal forces that is the equilibrium point and crate still goes up ward due to speed ,so we r writing conservation of energy from bottom to highest point where the speeds are zeero)
