34) The energy of sun is converted with water and carbon dioxide to form sugar and oxygen in the process of photosynthesis. The energy of sun enhances the chemical reaction of photosynthesis. But it is not any protein like molecule that is like enzyme and doesnot have any site to bind the substrate to form products. It is a form of energy and its doesnot lowers the activation energy of the reaction of photosynthesis.
Enzyme is a protein molecule which catalyse the chemical reaction to form the products and lowers the activation energy. Once the products is produced then it gets ready to take another substrate and binds the substrate along with its binding site to form more products.
35) Mitochondria is called power house of the cell because mitochondria is responsible for release of energy in the form of ATP from food by means of aerobic respiration. As the major portion of ATP is released by mitochondria so it is known as powerhouse of the cell.
