Question

A box is pushed up a frictionless inclined plane at a constant speed by a horizontal force Fa. The plane is inclined at an angle above the horizontal. (Note: The force Fa is not parallel to the incline.) (Fa is going right and box is on incline - from bottom left-up to the right on diagonal) = trying to explain the picture of incline.

(a) The applied force Fa

(b) The gravitational force Fg

(c) The normal force FN

(d) It cannot be determined

The answer is C ( the Normal force)

I do not understand how you get that. Any help would me much appreciated. Thanks

Explanation / Answer

If u draw a free body diagram you will get normal force is FN. So, ans : (c) The normal force FN
