The following are the types of health care facilities -

HOSPITAL - A hospital functions 24/7. It's primary task is to treat patients with serious problems like injury or other diseases. It has skilled physicians, nursing staff, medical instruments etc all under one roof. Hospitals offer services like maternity care, diagnostic facilities and emergency care.

AMBULATORY SURGICAL FACILITIES - It is outpatient facility . They carry out surgeries which are minor and can be done the same day. They provide basic care and monitoring before and after the surgery.

DOCTORS OFFICE - It is when many doctors provide treatment for the same kind of problem. It provides treatment for acute conditions as well as routine checks. Assistants, nurses play an important role in this type of service.

NURSING HOME - It has skilled physicians 24 hours. It is for people who require constant care mostly dealing with senior citizens. They deal with treating medical conditions as well as taking care of the basic needs like cleaning, feeding, bathing for people who are not able to carry out these tasks.
