Explanation / Answer

For the first one you have to use Newton's 2nd law, F = m a, where F is the force, m is the mass and a is the acceleration. You already know the mass, but not the acceleration. The flake was traveling with 4000 m/s, but it was decelerated to 0 m/s in just 6.00
