There is a Non-Profit here that deals with individuals with disabilities that participates in alot of craft shows over the course of a year. Right now, the director of community service is tracking and scheduling these shows manually in a notebook and is thinking using some type of scheduling system that she can run on her notepad to track the individual shows, which individuals participated, sales, and probably some other reporting metrics. It would most likely be a stand alone app as opposed to a web app and would need to be backed up with a database.
Within a project proposal create assumptions about the project and how to complete it.
Explanation / Answer
Project proposal:
1) A simple desktop application for storing information releated to craft shows. This application have login and username for the administrator
2) Once the admin is logged in he could able to see the craft details that needs to be arranged over a period of time.
3) When he click on the particular craft link he could see the details related to the craft . Here admin can track individual shows in which the individuals are participating and sales done in that craft show and profit generated out of that show.
4) Admin can also add show details and individual details for that particular craft show.
5) For the information to get displayed on the desktop app. We will get that data through a database which is stored and this can also be retrieved through the application.

Vb.net for desktop applications
mysql databse to store data
screen 1: Login screen : contains details regarding username and password
screen 2: Show Details : contains list of show details which is clickable
screen 3: Description of each show and its operations
screen 4: Edit the show details
Screen 5: Logout screen
