Please provide solution for the following Question.
In Oppenheimer, Chapter 6 entitled “Designing Models for Addressing and Numbering”, the
author has a section named “Using a Hierarchical Model for Assigning Addresses”. In your
short essay, first define what is meant by hierarchical addressing and what is meant by
hierarchical routing. Then summarize how the two are used together when designing the
addressing scheme for a network. In doing so, include how classless routing is more appropriate
to use than classful routing in this situation.

Explanation / Answer
Hierarchial Routing
The routing which is based on the heirarchial addressing.
Hierarchial routing is a set of networks which is been interconnected
by the routers within a specific area using the same routing
protocol is called domain.
In, hierarchial routing two or more domains can be combined to
form a higher order domain.
A router which is been in a specific domain is called as intra-domain
router.A router which is been connecting domains is called as inter-domain
router.
A network which is composed of many inter-domain routers is called as
backbone.
The routing protocol is been divided into two types. They are as follows:
1. Intra-domain routing.
2. Inter-domain routing.
