Question

Hi. I need help with the second row which is the "Addressing mode of the destination operand". I need help with "what size of the data copied" and i need help with "what is the data copied into the destination"

Thank you in advance

Identify the addressing modes used for the source and destination operands in the following instruction: 0100 MOV ISI1 0200H,C 3300 And compute the physical address for the destination operand given that (CS) A000H (DS) = B000H, (SS)" C000H, (SI)" 0100H, Cx-AB26H, and (BX)-0700H. Finally, answer questions on the operation of this instruction. Regieler Operond Addirssing Hade Addressing mode of the source operand Addressing mode of the destination operand Addvessing Made The physical address of the destination operandBO30OOH What is the size of the data copied? butes The operation of this instruction What is the data copied ! into the destination?

Explanation / Answer

Answer:- Here SI has been used for destination address. So it is an example of "indexed relative addressing mode". At source, register operand is used, i.e CH, but CH is an 8-bit or 1-byte register. So size of data copied is of one byte.

As we can see, register CX = AB26H, so register CH = ABH and register CL = 26H. Thus the one byte data which is copied is ABH or 0xAB, in hexa-decimal.
