Question

One time long ago, two ambitious and energetic 403W students, “Bill” and “Jake”, cornered me and told me that a certain student on their team was a slacker and was not contributing to the team’s work. The team was building an electrified scooter. Bill and Jake were MEs and had signed up as a pair in order to work together. The student in question (along with a fourth student on the team) was an EE. Sensing that non-productive conflict is hindering the team, what do you surmise is the source is the source of the conflict and what might you do to help the team to perform at its highest level? (explain briefly)

Explanation / Answer

Firstly the student in question and the fourth one are EEs. Bill and Jake are MEs. There is certainly an age gap and maturity factor difference in the tea.

Since the student in question is s slacker, I better suggest him to be trained quickly on the modules required for the built process of the electrified scooter.

He might be interested in physical work rather than any design works. He needs to be clearly understood by Bill and Jakes on his interesting factors and work is distributed accordingly.

this would serve the purpose and help the team perform.
