The power system engineering is area of future research. As conventional sources of power are being depleted with increasing power demand, the rserach focus is being shiftd towards natural power source like solar power and wind power. However, there are many ways by which the solar and wind energy can be used to geenrate the electrial power. But the generated power has to be stored for utilization during the required time Therefore, proper batteries needs to used for storing of the generated power. Now, here the doors open for the material science that suggests the best materials for batteries product. The batteries life depands upon the type of materials used for fabricating the same. There is one good example of mobile batteries that last long for almost two days once charged up. Therfore, the power system research forsees towards the material science where high potential with miniaturized batteries are invented. Future research programs in power system therefore becomes cenetred around power batteries with minitiurized sizes.
Further, the electric batteries are replacing the petrol/diesel engines with elecric motors in automobiles now-a-days. Thus, an estimate can be guessed out that how important the role of electric batteries is going to be phased out in future. Fuel is geting depleted out every year at a very high rate and will be affordable to few ones in near future. Power bateries will then cop up with that situation. The material science will then be on a diving seat in detrmining the quality of power batteries.
