RT C - EMC Management Describe the methodology used in producing an EMC control plan in the case of an installation of a number of PC devices into an existing work place that includes DC and AC motors. (15 marks) Please Summarize this answer? 4 RT C EMC needs to be managed-Documentation control needs to be maintained to record all aspects of the product-its specification, what and why certain actions are taken and which EMC directive is being implemented and how it is tested to provide evidence that it meets the directive. Lines of responsibilty need to be clear. In the question the probabilty of interference/EMI is implied-DC motors may cause some interference but a lot less than AC motors even though all apparatus may meet their appropriate technical specification and hence their directive, close proximity of the PC devices may cause effects. Poor earthing and grounds may have an impact too! Shielding and careful cable routs may help, technical staff with experience of EMC can overcome installation problems.
