We will be discussing the usage of the Microsoft Word software package for typing out a letter on a business letter head.
Problem at hand: To type out a letter neatly using a computer on a business letter head.
Software used: Microsoft Word. This software is used because it is one of the most widely used computer softwares for editing ang typing documents. As such, support is available aplenty on the net, and error resolution is pretty fast.
Problem solving: The given contents were typed out on a blank document in the Word application. Appropriate header and footer were inserted to change it to a business letter head. Auto-salutations were used as suggested by the software (Another advantage to using the same software). Finally, the document was pronted out to a pdf format, or directly onto a printer to get a hard copy.
Issues: Some issues that arose during the project were 1) The template for the business letter was absent and had to be downloaded from the internet to be used with the software. 2) The automatoc spell-checker was not switched ON, which was finally switched ON after the letter was typed out. 3) The orinetation had to be adjusted while printing out the letter onto a sheet of paper.
