Question
The answer for A is i have the diagram but i need explation of diagram Please make sure to explain your FSM design in terms of number states, initial state, and transitions. Just the diagram is not enough. Consider a variant of the thermostat of example 3.5. In this variant, there is only one the on or off for at least a fixed amount of time. In the initial state, if the temperature is less than or equal to 20 degrees Celsius, it turns the heater on, and leaves it on for at least 30 seconds. After that, if the temperature is greater than 20 degrees, it turns the heater off and leaves it off for at least 2 minutes. It turns it on again only if the temperature is less than or equal to 20 degrees. 73 Seshia, Introduction to Embedded SystemsExplanation / Answer
EXPLANATION
First of all the given FSM designing contains 2 states:
i)the temperature is less than or equal to20 degree celcius
ii)the temperature is greater than 20 degree celcius
Initial state is when the the temperature is less than or equal to 20 degree celcius. Then the heater is turned on for 30 seconds. Then the first transition occurs and the temperature gradually increases and becomes greater than 20 degree celcius. Then the heater is turned off for atleast 2 minutes till the next transition comes. The second transition is when again the temperature is reduced to 20 degrees or less.
Hence, there are two transitions taking place.
The process continues in the above explained manner.
