The capacitor is initially uncharged in the circuit shown. What will be the approximate current 3 ms after the switch is closed?

Cant upload picture but heres an explanation as to what the simpe circuit looks like:

One loop, going around starting from going away from the positive terminal of the 12 V source, then go through the switch, then around to a 500 microF capacitor then to a 2 ohm resistor and back around into the negative terminal of the voltage source.

Explanation / Answer

the currect in the capacitor is given by the equation,

I=Ioe^(-t/RC)

=(12/2)*e^(-3*10^-3/(500*10^-6*2)

=(12/2)*e^-3

=0.2987 A
