Consider the following abstract:

Advertisers are always touting longer lasting batteries.  But which battery lasts longer?  This investigation compared 5 different brands of batteries to see which lasted longer.  Each AA battery was placed in the same CD player and the battery voltage was measured at different time intervals for each brand of battery to determine how long before the voltage dropped significantly. The Energizer battery maintained its voltage of 1.5 v for the longest amount of time at 3 hours 20 minutes whereas the Duracell battery maintained its voltage of 1.5 v the shortest amount of time at 2 hours 59 minutes.  These results indicate that the Energizer battery is a longer lasting battery than the other four tested batteries
