Use the data obtained by the student to plot a straight line graph of the appropriate variables, and use it to find values for the parameters A0 and R. The circular coil at the end of the pendulum has 200 turns and a diameter of 1.9 cm. When the magnets are separated by about 1.0 cm the field between them is 0.50 T. Use this information and the graph obtained in Step 3 to calculate the induced emf when the pendulum entered the magnetic field region. Explain why the oscillations decay faster when there is no load connected to the coil.
