whether the following statements are TRUE or FALSE. You MUSI justify your answer by a brief deseription to earn full eredit. (2 ponts each) transformer is a device that have been designed to convert a X: VDC input into 'Y" VDC signal. 2. The Arduino Uno has in-built a 10 bit ADC converter that provides 210-1024 discrete levels. 3. A zener diode is a diode whose breakdown voltage has been designed to sit at a specific voltage level. 4. The duty cycle of a pulse width modulated signal is the ratio of the clock on-time to the signal's fundamental period. rom pin marked as A0 an analog input and returns an ana oltage between 0 to 5 volts.

Explanation / Answer

1) False: Transformer cannont be operated on DC.It works on AC voltage only and changes the ac volage levels . If we connect DC supply to the transformer , then it will burn. because there is no change in flux and no self induced emf in the winding. due to this transformer draws a very high amount of current from the supply and its winding will be damaged.

2) True: The Arduino Uno ADC is of 10 bit resolution .so the integer values from (0-(2^10) 1023)). This means that it will map input voltages between 0 and 5 volts into integer values between 0 and 1023. So for every (5/1024= 4.9mV) per unit.

3)True: Zener diode works in reverse bias region. and after breakdown it will maintain a constant volttage and hence it will be used as voltage regulator for maintaining constant voltage across device and used for volatge regulator.

4) True: Duty cycle means conduction periode to total periode(fundamental periode). Duty cylce is used to determine the range of output voltage and can be used to regulate the output voltage. and it is used to change the frequency
