1.The maximum and minimum value for a particular combination depends upon the tolerance for the given resistor.
The measurements found by the colour combination using the colour code along with tolerance level gives the maximum and minimum value of the resistors
2. The resistance of the resistors measured by a multimeter is done with reference to Ohm's Law. The current through the resistance and voltage applied to it helps find the nominal resistances which can slightly vary due to the conditions.
Whereas when resistances are measured using colour code the nominal value is found out.
3. The measurements using Colour code help getting nominal resistance i.e. the actual resistance of the material whereas by multimeter it can slightly vary (very slight) due to V/I ratio calculations.
Both the methods are equally effective in calculations
