TwoSpeed Line Diagram to PLC Diagram Conversion. Use the Device Equivalents table to PLC programming diagram. 3. Draw a basic PLC programming diagram of the standard line diagram. DEVICE EQUIVALENTS L2 SLOW OLS SLOW PUSHBUTTON -INPUT (2, 4) FAST PUSHBUTTON·INPUT 2 OLs INPUT 3 SLOW STARTER FAST SLOW COIL OUTPUT 1 FAST COIL OUTPUT2 RED LAMP OUTPUT 3 YELLOW LAMP OUTPUT4 FAST STARTERExplanation / Answer
Answer is D if we draw a simplifiied ladder Circuit we get D as the answer.
There is a minor error in the mistake,on ladder 2 the output should pe output 2 and not output 3.
Now let's test the logic of answer D:
1)When the slow pushbutton is pressed and the fast push button is not pressed, The fast contact being NC on ladder one allows it to pass and hence you get output 1 as slow starter.
2)When the fast pushbutton is pressed and the slow pushbutton is not pressed then the slow contact being normally closed it holds true and allows us to pass hence you get output 2 as fast starter.
3) Both fast starter contact and slow starter contact are normally open hence when either one holds true(both are connected in OR logic) you get output 3 as red lamp glowing.
4) Here only fast starter contact is present which is normally open hence when that is true yellow lamp glows and you get output 4.
