1/f= 1/v-1/u

1/40= 1/v-(-1/55)

v= 146.67 cm

now object distance for second lens

u'= 300-146.67 cm= 153.33 cm

agian using lens formula

1/f' = 1/v'-1/u'

1/60= 1/v'-(-1/153.33)

v'= 98.57 cm (ans)

magnification, m=(v/u)(v'/u')= (146.77/55)(98.57/153.33)= h'/1.2

h'= 2.058 cm (ans)
