Explanation- Dark matter is introduced to explain galaxy rotational curve. Visible matter (bayonic in nature) is not sufficient to supply gravitational force to explain this rotational curve. Hence scientist believe there is something (dark matter- still unknown, no radiation or interaction whith normal matter) which is producing this gravitational force to explain rotational curve of galaxy.
