Question
When you moved the bottom two dew point dots to the right and increased the third dew point dot the cloud changed in height because we have [ Select ] ["increased", "adds", "upper", "removes", "lower", "decreased"] the moisture content of the air at the [ Select ] ["decreased", "increased", "adds", "removes", "lower", "upper"] levels of the atmosphere and that in turn [ Select ] ["adds", "removes", "decreased", "lower", "upper", "increased"] a source of latent heat to be released in the cloud and moisture to form rain.
Explanation / Answer
When we moved the two dew point dots to right and then increase the third dew point, the cloud will grow vertically and precipitation will occur because we have increased the moisture content of the air at the lower levels of the atmosphere, There is less moisture in the upper levels of atmosphere and more moisture in the lower levels of the atmosphere. This is turn removes latent heat from the atmosphere. Since when the moisture or water vapour condenses to form clouds then latent heat is released into the atmosphere which in turn responsible for falling of rain.
