Question
My entire career in science I’ve heard people use the term “ecology” to mean “environmentalism” (it doesn’t), I’ve heard people involved in almost any aspect of agricultural science claim they were “applied ecologists” (they weren’t), and I’ve read “ecology” books that fail to mention any ecological principles. Strange. However, as I discussed with you in class, there is a very important practical role for ecology and ecological principles, and that’s what this question is about. Describe any practical situation (and here I’m willing to regard conservation and biodiversity as practical problems) and the role ecology has or can have in either solving the problem or contributing to understanding the problem.
please answer by typing, thank you very much.
Explanation / Answer
Talking about ecology doesn’t mean that talking about environment; it’s basically talking about any particular organism habitat means talking about the environment of any particular life (organism living environments) for example if we are talking about Fish Ecology , means we are discussing about fish living environment.
Agriculture point view, For Example every plant required some specific ecological condition to grow it properly means they need particular (suitable) environment to grow and need proper growing environment to make it healthy grow, so it require to understand the ecological conditions (living environment) of that plant so people are involved to study that particular survival environment conditions are considered as Applied Ecologist.
