Question
The Stanford Prison experiment outlines many social psychological concepts that be observed (regularly) in our lives. These include (1) the power or roles, and our beliefs/expectations/stereotypes about what those roles entail; (2) how being isolated in new situation can change behavior; (3) how behavior change starts gradually and the “snowballs” over time; and many others. Your task here is to: (1) Select some general principle exhibited in the Stanford Prison experiment. (2) Outline an event in the news or in your own life, provide enough detail so others will understand it clearly (3) Explain how the general principle in (1) explains what happened in the event you described in (2) – be specific!! After you post your example, you can read other people’s postings (if they are available). You must respond to at least one other person’s post by commenting on whether other principles may or may not have been in play in the provided example. You earn credit after you BOTH post your example AND comment on another.
Explanation / Answer
I can cite my example where these principles i have experienced in my life. The principle that the power of beliefs i can really relate to.From early years of my life my belief system (religious) was like there is no god and i was an atheist .I had no fear whatsoever of doning wrong but seeing certain events in my life of friends and relatives i have seen that the person who were doing wrong got reprimanded in life for doing so.So i do strongly now that there is Jesus. My belief system has changed and so does the perception of life. One of my relative scammed money from bank he got cancer after two years. This event made me believe there is god .
Thank you
