Question

Question 1: Which is the phase of the Moon when the Sun and Moon have the same right ascension?

Question 2: Where in the Venusian atmosphere does the highest temperature occur? I.e. closer to the surface, in the middle, or closer to the top? Please, explain.

Question 3: What happens when the mass of an object exceeds the Oppenheimer-Volkov limit? Please describe, what the process is behind, what kind of such an initial object may be, and, what is formed as a product.

***Please explain your answers

Explanation / Answer

Answer 1. Right ascension is measured on Earth's rotation on its celestal axis. So the moon and the sun's position to each other has no relation with the Right ascent position.

When Sun, moon and Earth are at right angle to each other, it's moon's first quarter phase.

Answer 2. There is a unexpected temparature profile when we talk about Venus. The troposphere of venus is the hottest due to the presence of thick layer of carbon di oxide.

Answer 3. Oppenheimer-Volkoff Limit:

Initial Object: The initial object are stars of different age and sizes.

Process: The process is mainly the Pauli's exclusion principle. In simple form the mass limit formula can be written as, M= 1/m2 ( where m is the relevant mass per article amd the M is the mass of the main body). Due the formation of neutron-degenerate matter the mass starts to decrease after crossing the Oppenheimer-Volkoff limit.

Product: If the mass of a star exceeds the Oppenheimer-Volkoff limit it starts to lose its mass and as a end product a black hole takes birth.
