12. When ahoney bee sting a person they inject venom through their stinger into the skin of the victim.
- normal people will have only a localized reaction to bee sting like redness of skin and pain, swelling and itching.
- some people have an allergic reaction to sting and may feel vomiting,nausea, diarrhea, dizziness.
- Few people experience the severe and life-threatening allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis with wheezing, difficult in breathing and drop in blood pressure leads to shock.
13. Here patient got anaphylaxis , serious allergic reaction that can affect multiple body systems. This allergic reaction is lgE- mediated, venom containing toxin melitin, histamine and other biogenic amine which stimulate the production of IgE which in turn sensitize mast cell which release chemical granules which react with allergens.
14. Remove stinger immediately if it is visible in the wound,apply ice to reduce inflamainfla response. Then clean the area by soap and water and then apply hydrocortisone cream to the site to decrease the severity. Otherwise one can apply baking soda-water paste in home. Then taking antihistamine such as diphenhydramine tablet , ibuprofen pain reliever. And in severe case taking epinephrine injection.
In future man should carry epinephrine kit.
15. No such lab tests are necessary.
16. After all above medicinal care get a booster of tetanus with in next few days.
