1.Telemedicine is the use of telecommunication and information technology to provide clinical health care from distance.It is used to overcome the distance barriers to improve the medical services and also to save lives in critical and emergency situations.

This telecommunication permits communication between the patient and the medical staff for the transmission of medical data and for the treatment purpose.
Mostly this telemedicine is used in rural setting, where is the lack of medical resources.

Strengths of telemedicine:-
*It saves time and money for travel to get the treatment.
*It eliminates possible transmission of infectious diseases from patients to medical staff.

Weaknesses of telemedicine:-
*problem with data management equipment and of technical training for medical personnel who employ it.
*Increased risk of medical errors in absence of registered medical professionals.
*Risk of protected health information may be compromised through electronic storage and transmission.
