A. Started with 300 as WIP and completed 1500 and passed on to Painting and ending with 500 as WIP so assume the initial 300 remains in WIP status and we need additional 200 to have 500 as WIP at the end of month they must have freshly started on 1700 units. So answer is 1,700.
