Explanation / Answer

Annie needs to plan her meals very carefully throughout the day. She should eat at least three pre-planned meals and three snacks a day , so that the gap between each meal is roughly three hours.

By eating regularly and spacing meals and snacks in a structured way , her metabolism will be boosted and energy levels will be high.

Her diet plan should be something like this--

TIME SERVING SIZE FOOD TO BE EATEN

7:00 am [ breakfast] 250 gram bran cereal , yoghurt, one fruit [ apple or banana]

10:30 am [snack] 100- 200 gram fresh fruits like berries or sliced melon

1:00 pm [lunch] 250 -- 300 gram chicken or turkey breast, boiled vegetables[ like broccoli, green beans] , mayonnaise and a slice or two of whole wheat bread

4: 00pm [snack] 100- 150 gram whole grain crackers and celery sticks

6: 30 pm [ dinner] 200 -- 300 gram grilled fish, whole wheat pasta tossed with one spoon of butter, leafy salad or steamed vegetables

8:30 pm [ snack] 100 -- 150 gram a fruit mixed with cottage cheese or yoghurt.

Following this diet plan with mild alterations [ not in quantity] but she can replace the source like for a change , she can have eggs and chicken as protein source and change her grain and fruits to bring variety to her diet .

She can also have her choice of vegetables . For dinner , she can replace pasta with boiled brown rice for a change. She should strictly avoid skipping any meal or snack during the day.

This will definitely help her to recover fast and lead a normal halthy life.
