Yes, the data supports the relationship between obesity and diabetes. Out of 75 non-diabetics (one from each twin): 19 are obese and 56 are non-obese; whereas Out of 75 diabetics (one from each twin): 51 are obese and 24 are non-obese. This shows that people with diabetes are more prone to be obese. Obesity is not 100% linked to diabetes, it can be due to unhealthy life style. We can take 150 individuals apart from twins for study but same kind of results will not be obtained. Because as each twin belongs to same family, both of them have almost equal kind of life style which make the comparison easy. So recruiting twins is more appropriate for this study.
