AMP-PNP is a structural analogue of ATP which menas they are structuraly similar. if a compound is structuraly similar it acts as a competitive inhibitor as it binds to the exact active site of the enzyme where the original molecule whould bind. therefor by increasing the ATP concentration, the availability of it increases and there is a higher chance that AMP-PNP can be replaced from the active site. with higher ATP concentration competitiveness of AMP-PNP is reduced.
