Explanation / Answer

Answer : a

Option d is wrong because herbivores have longer intestines than carnivores, about three times longer than carnivores. The plant matter is difficult to digest and needs a longer stay and processing.

Option b can be culled because of the smaller and larger carnivore, obviously the larger carnivore will have a larger intestine.

Between omnivores and carnivores the caecum plays no role in the carnivores. The omnivores require it for bacterial fermentation. So their intestines are longer than the carnivores. Option c is culled. And so is Option e.
