C) The covalent bond in O, is unstable and easily broken by electrons from organic molecules D) The covalent bonds in organic molecules and molecular oxygen have more kinetic energy than the covalent bonds in water and carbon dioxide. E) None of the above. Aerobic respiration is endergonicExplanation / Answer
Hi as per our regulation, the first 4 questions are solved.
13. The myristate is a 14 carbon fatty acid. In each round of beta-oxidation, 2 carbon is lost as acetyl CoA. So 6 round would result in oxidation of 12 carbon converted to acetyl CoA and 2 carbon in acetyl CoA formate. Hence the total of 6 rounds of beta-oxidation and 7 acetyl CoA molecules.
14. Disulfide bonds are formed between the two sulfur compounds. These are formed when the sulfur reduces the forms the stable bond. Hence the statement is false.
15. The C terminal end is the end in the negative region of the graph. When the values are negative, the sequence is hydrophilic. Hence, the would not lie inside the membrane, rather tries to project outward. So we might expect it to be towards the extracellular space, because the connexin is localised to plasma membrane.
16. The G3P dehydrogenase oxidized its target compouds and gets reduced. So to activate it, it must be oxidized. The Rubisco, fixes the atmospheric carbon and hecne is activated when Co2 is low. This happens when pH is alakaline. So, the high pH activates it.
